About Us

We created 679 Makete out of our vision to empower families in Fiji.  

Families in Fiji own natural resources and create products which are marketable but have no access to sustainable markets where they can sell these commodities. These families are struggling even more after the Covid pandemic.  We are highly motivated to be an answer to their needs for trade and better returns.

We are inspired by a Biblical story where God asked Moses "What is that in your hand?" "A staff".  That same staff produced water which a whole nation drank from in the middle of the wilderness.

This is what a lot of Fijian families, "a staff", have but do not have access to a sustainable marketplace which rewards them for their resources, creativity and talents.

679 Makete will collaborate with Fijian families to create new products destined for New Zealand and international markets using its e-commerce platform and leveraging on the 679 Logistics network of distribution.
